Callaway Paper

The book Twilight is on of the bestselling books since Harry Potter. But why? Is it because of the love, and romance Bella Swan and her vampire lover Edward Cullen share? Or the hardships of their relationship? The story is the most amazing thing ever so I will give you the synopsis.

In book two, New Moon, Edward and his family leave Bella temporarily. She starts hanging out with Jacob who later turns into a werewolf. Bella decides to go cleft diving and nearly gets herself killed. Then the Cullens come home and all is good again.

In the third book, Eclipse, the vampires and werewolves and vampires hate each other. Bella wants to become a vampire, and the wolves are annoyed and Edward doesn’t want her to lose her life just to be with him. So this one evil vampire chick, Victoria, wants to kill Bella. So the werewolves and Cullen’s team up to protect Bella. So in the end, Edward kills Victoria and once again all is well.

The book “Breaking Dawn” is the last book in the twilight series. In this book Bella and Edward get married. For there honeymoon they go to the island Edward’s mom and dad went for their honeymoon. They do all sorts of fun things, like snorkeling and explore the island. About 4-5 weeks into the honeymoon, Bella starts getting morning sickness... She calls Carlile, Edward’s father who also happens to be a doctor, and he says she might be pregnant. They rush home. Bella refuses to get an abortion even though the baby, for some strange reason, is sucking the life out of her. Jacob comes over and he tries to convince her to get rid of the baby, but he fails. Bella has the baby and Edward turns her into a vampire. The Volturie, or vampire royalty, think that the baby was a human and was bitten, which is illegal for vampires. So they are on there way to kill the baby. So the Cullen’s get this little vampire army together as witnesses that they did nothing wrong. So the Volturie come, and after a long discussion, Bella, Edward, the baby, and everyone else get out alive with no charges.

The Host

The best selling book, Twilight’s, author Stephanie Meyer, has mad her first adult novel, The Host. It is an amazing mixture of romance, drama, and the future! This book starts out on a souls taking over the world. There are rumors of a small resistance of survivor humans are planning to kill the souls. One human girl, named Melanie, is about to die, but these aliens called souls put a soul in her. She wakes up as Wanderer the soul. But the unusual thing about her is that the human Melanie is still alive in her head. Meaning she is still there. She see’s, hears and tastes, everything Wanderer dose. Wanderer searches her new mind for leads to the resistance hide out, but instead, she finds herself floded with the powerful emotion of love that the human Melanie has for a human named Jared. Wanderer is overwhelmed with the sudden emotion and obsession of the human. So she sets out on a journey to find her human love. With the help of the human Melanie living in her head she might just be reunited with the one she loves.
The journey was long and hard. The first night was an uncomfortable sleep in the car. The next few nights were spent in the desert. Melanie said that the resistance was in the desert. After a few days, there was no water left. Wanderer new this was the end. But miraculously, Melanie’s uncle, Jeb, was out of the hideaway ant searching the desert. He found Wanderer in the body of his niece. He gave her water then checked her eyes. All humans being possessed by souls have a silver rim around the inside of there eyes. Knowing that this is his niece, he saves her life. He brings her back to the secret hide out. Everyone is mad with Jeb for brining an alien to the last source of hope human’s had for surviving. The only good news is that Jared is there. He sees the body of his love but knows that it is really a soul. But when Wanderer runs to embrace her beloved, he punches her in the face. They lock Wanderer up in a storage room and leave her there. They keep her alive only for the brothers, Kyle and Ian, come to kill her. Jared is on duty that night so he saves her life. But then Melanie’s little brother, Jamie, steps in the room and sees his sister. He doesn’t care if she is human or alien; he just wants to be with her. So they let her out of the hole and put her to work, like they do in the normal life in the hideaway. Wanderer or Melanie have no intention of leaving.
The days go by and everyone seems to be ok with Wanderer there. She would go to work and no one would notice her. But the only people who believed her about Melanie still alive in her head were Jamie, Jeb, and Ian. Wanderer and Ian had become great friends now. Wanderer would tell Jamie stories about the different worlds she had been to, and Jamie would tell everyone else. Everything was going great until Kyle caught Wanderer alone in a room. For the second time, he tried to kill her. Luckily, Ian got there just in time. So the whole thing was back to normal. But every thing changed when the doctor asked how to take a soul out of its host body. She made the doctor promise that if she told him he would send her to a different planet. To souls, telling this curtail secret is agenst there only law. The doctor agreed. So Wanderer showed him, said her good byes, and let the doctor do his work.
When she woke up, she was still on earth but in a different body. All her friends were there, even Melanie. They told her they grew too attached to he rand couldn’t let her go. So they put her in a different body. They would all live out there lives in peace and happiness.
